July 4th Festivities

Okay so I know it has been a whole week since the 4th...but at least I posted them right? haa haa Plus I am still trying to recover from girls camp that was also last week!

tanner at the Ashton parade!

this parade is the best because they go down one street...once they have made it one way they turn around and do it again! It has taken me a couple of years to not get annoyed but the best part is MORE CANDY!!

Here is the famous TONKA jeep! Mark and tanner's pride and joy! I stole this picture from Jenny's blog(sorry)because if you look close tanner is picking his nose!! he is really good at that! hee hee

tanner and cousin painter riding with us on our jeep ride! and also painter trying to drive his dad's...boys are so fascinated with cars, trucks, pretty much anything with buttons!

mark, tanner, and I at sheep falls! It was so beautiful...a little bumpy ride to get there but that is what you have jeeps for right? :)

daddy and tanner taking a little hike..cute huh?

here we are waiting for the fireworks! this is our tradition with marks family...every year we go to an elementary school, have a bbq and just hang out talking until they start! So much fun! and I love mark's family..they are the greatest!!!

First Appointment!

Yesterday was my first doctor's appointment with this pregnancy. I felt like it took forever to get here but I think that was do to the fact that my doctor doesn't see you until you are 10 weeks instead of 8. So my official due date is January 19th! We were also able to here the baby's heartbeat which just made us smile. We are so grateful for this opportunity to bring another child into this world and it is kicking in that our lives are going to change (for the good of course!). Thank you for all the love and prayers!

a pot-bellied pig--As some of you know I LOVE pigs...i could have sat all day and watched them! If mark would let me i would have one as a pet! hee hee

mom and tanner

tanner was about to get a drink when he realized what he would be putting his head into! Needless to say it took a lot of convincing, but how can you pass up a drink?

pelican's were getting fed their fish! amazing...

you think tanner is tall...then you put him next to a lion...

the very friendly bird!!! there is this enclosed area where you can go to see different kinds of birds...well this one was a little to friendly for my book! he followed close the whole time we were in there and even tried to leave with us!

Swimming Lessons

A couple of weeks ago tanner had swimming lessons for the first time. And yes it has taken me this long to put them on the blog...sorry! Anyway he was not so sure at first, but the second week he really warmed up to the idea except for putting his face in the water of course. He is a lot like his mom when it comes to water on your face...I hate it!

He thought that was the coolest thing ever! Thanks Dad!

NEWS!..we have been waiting to give!!!

Hello everyone, we wanted to let you all know that I AM PREGNANT! We are so excited and can't wait to have an addition to our family! It has been a long hard road, but every part of it has been worth it. (I can say that now but wouldn't have said that a couple of months ago) The plan was to wait for awhile to tell everyone but I just can't keep my mouth shut and either can Tanner. We told him a couple of weeks ago because we didn't know if he would get it. Well he hasn't forgot because he tells everyone that he sees and asks me everyday if the baby is growing. He is really excited and will be a great big brother! I am due in January, so I am not far along at all, only a couple of months, but enough that I feel it! Thank you for all the support we have been given...if it was a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on, thank you very much!

Pre-school Graduation!

this is tanner's first but not last pre-school graduation! I put him in early for the sake of his sanity and mine...and mostly because I wanted him to learn to socialize with other kids his age. Well he loved it and is sad it is summer! So next year you will be seeing this again but hopefully we will have more pictures since it will be for real next time.

Mark has put up with alot from me and will have even more in the coming future..haa haa I love him with all my heart, more deeply now then I did 6 years ago! We have glared at each other, cried together, and laughed together and some of that is thanks to Tanner! He is a wonderful husband and dad...he does so much for us and we really appreciate it!

another month gone...

Can you believe that april has come and gone? Things have been very busy for us but that is a good thing considering my mental state hee hee. Tanner is one year older, taller, and in charge if you ask him! I just wanted to drop a little note saying hi and that we are still here in the windy city of Idaho Falls! We hope that everyone is doing great....healthy and happy. Pictures will soon follow just wanted to say hi!

Happy Birthday Tanner!

My little boy turned 4 years old on April 5th!! This was the first year that he actually understood it was his birthday. We started off the weekend with taking cupcakes to his pre-school class, opened presents the morning of his birthday, got him a jamba juice (his favorite!!), took him to his favorite place to eat--primos--, then took him to see Horton hears a Who! Then sunday we went up to his grandma and grandpa Nichol's house and had a party! He loved every minute of his weekend and Mark and I really enjoyed spoiling our little boy!

This year I decided to make a special birthday cake and am pretty proud of myself! hee hee The problem is that next year I will have to do bigger and better...what did I get myself into??!! AHH
