Happy Birthday Tanner!

My little boy turned 4 years old on April 5th!! This was the first year that he actually understood it was his birthday. We started off the weekend with taking cupcakes to his pre-school class, opened presents the morning of his birthday, got him a jamba juice (his favorite!!), took him to his favorite place to eat--primos--, then took him to see Horton hears a Who! Then sunday we went up to his grandma and grandpa Nichol's house and had a party! He loved every minute of his weekend and Mark and I really enjoyed spoiling our little boy!

 

This year I decided to make a special birthday cake and am pretty proud of myself! hee hee The problem is that next year I will have to do bigger and better...what did I get myself into??!! AHH

My Birthday!!

Yes...another year older and wiser! ha ha i wish! I turned 26 on March 27th and my young woman tell me I am old! I had a great day actually week thanks to my family, mark's family and especially Mark! And as you can see a wonderful birthday cake. My mother-in-law made me this cake with her excellent cake decorating skills...thanks mom!

See those great flowers!! She spent a lot of time on this and I am very grateful!

This is my cute little sister Sidne...she is growing up fast! She will be 16 in June....watch OUT boys!!! Hey, it has been awhile but I am currently at my mom's and found this picture on her computer so I had to add it! I promise that when I get home I will add our easter pictures from this past weekend....maybe someday I will get better at updating our blog more frequently. :)

I LOVE YOU!
Today I wanted to let everyone know how important Mark is to me. We have been married for almost 6 years and I love him more deeply now then I thought was possible! I can't imagine how much more my love will grow with each year. Of course we have had our hard times and big lessons we have learned, but that is why my love grows stronger. Mark teaches me to laugh, stress, and love, and most importantly is the spiritually giant that I need. After 3 years of trying to have another baby and each month bringing a disappointment to my heart, Mark has taught me to enjoy and be grateful for what I have. Because every woman has the desire to be a mom, the heartache will never get easier, but I have learned that how you handle that heartache makes all the difference! Mark and Tanner are a blessing and I love them both very much. Thank you Mark for all that you do for me and Tanner...for all the hard work, sweat, and tears.

Bored Day...

 

 

Okay...this deserves a little explaining! hee hee Well yesterday Mark came home from work early (they closed because of the weather) and he took a very long nap. Not to everyones surprise I hadn't showered yet so i jumped in quick. After that and while I was doing my hair tanner was helping as all little kids do and we decided to do his hair! This is what we came up with and he thought it was COOL but when his dad woke up he wasn't so sure. While I was telling Mark about how much fun we had doing his hair, his respone was, "He is not a little girl and besides I don't really like it because all kids with their hair like that are punks!" Well, I think we are safe with our little almost 4 year old. But for the record if he would be so kid as to give me a girl when I can finally get pregnant I won't have to be playing and experimenting on tanner's! haa haa

Our leader, our Friend!

President Gordon B. Hinckley's job is done. He has done what the Lord wanted him to do and now is reunited with his cute little wife. After Mark and I found out we were a little shocked..."He is yoda, he should be living forever!" was Mark's response. We also realized that he has been the prophet for most of my life and has been a wonderful example. We will never forget his love for the gospel and especially his love for us...God's Children!
